Statement of Nursery Aims
- To provide a curriculum which caters for the all round development of each child physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually, through purposeful play that has been well planned and is pleasureable to the child.
- To make the transition from home to nursery a happy, secure experience which will compliment and extend the range of learning and experiences that the child has already had at home.
- To take into account the range of needs of the children, when planning the curriculum. To develop the children's early knowledge, understanding and skills to build the firm foundation for later education.
- To work and liaise with other agencies involved in the child's welfare.
- To support children with Special Educational Needs.
- To make the nursery an important part of the community by fostering links with other services in the area.
- To ensure the staff work as a team, to share ideas and expertise, thus creating a harmonious, caring atmosphere for the children in our care. To involve all staff in the planning of the daily routine.
- To promote equal opportunities, irrespective of gender, ethnic origin or socio-economic background.
To create a rich learning environment both indoors and outdoors, which provides for:
